Scattered thunderstorms will be possible tonight and into early Sunday mainly across Louisiana. The strongest storms could produce gusty winds and heavy downpours. Additional severe weather is not anticipated through the rest of tonight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will persist during the latter half of the weekend and into early next week. Although thunderstorm chances continue later in the week, a gradual decrease in activity is expected due to an upper-level ridge expanding into the region from the southwest. Neches River Near Alto affecting Trinity, Anderson, Cherokee and
Houston Counties.
For the Neches River...including Lake Palestine, Neches, Alto,
Diboll, Rockland...Minor flooding is forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

completely inundated.

- Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

both upstream and downstream on the Angelina River as currents can
become swift and turbulent.
