A Heat Advisory is in effect for areas across Central Texas. Heat index values will climb into the 105-110 degree range this afternoon. Another complex of thunderstorms will move across areas primarily east and northeast of the DFW Metroplex late tonight into Wednesday morning. Heavy rainfall will lead to renewed flooding issues. Damaging wind gusts and isolated large hail will also be a threat. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Thunderstorm chances will linger into Wednesday morning, primarily east of I-35. Damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall will remain the primary hazards. Isolated thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon across North Texas with a low threat of damaging wind gusts. Low thunderstorm chances remain in the forecast through the weekend into early next week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time. $$

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
