A Heat Advisory is in effect from 1 to 7 PM CDT today across the Rio Grande Plains where heat indices could peak as high as 112 degrees. A strong to severe storm may be possible in portions of the Hill Country, I-35 corridor and the Rio Grande Plains from late this afternoon through this evening. Hazards with any severe storm would be damaging winds, large hail, frequent lightning and locally heavy rainfall. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. Dangerous heat persists through midweek. Heat Advisories remain likely and could expand in areal coverage over the next few days.
