This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for South-Central Texas..

.DAY ONE...Today And Tonight.

A Heat Advisory is in effect from 1 to 8 PM CDT today with heat
indices above 108 degrees across the I-35 corridor, Rio Grande
plains, and the Coastal Prairies.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Dangerous heat persists through midweek. Heat Advisories remain
likely and could expand in areal coverage over the next few days.
An excessive Heat Warning may be needed across portions of the
region on Wednesday.

...ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES AND HEAT INDICES EXPECTED TODAY...

Hot temperatures and elevated heat indices expected across the
Southern Edwards Plateau and the Hill Country today and through
the middle of this week. High temperatures will reach the mid to
upper 90s for most of the Hill Country while values will climb
above 100 degrees across Val Verde county and portions of Kinney
and Edwards Counties. Heat indices are expected to peak in the
102 to 108 range across these regions.

Those spending extended time outdoors and not acclimated to this
heat could be susceptible to heat related illness if not taking
proper heat precautions, such as drinking plenty of water and
taking frequent breaks out of the sun and heat.
