At 739 AM CDT, Mesonet sensors indicated gusty winds to 40 mph in an
area of stratiform showers trailing behind a line of strong
thunderstorms. Even as this stronger line of thunderstorms passes,
gusty winds will linger in its wake.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Pasadena, Pearland, League City, Sugar Land, Baytown, Missouri City,
Conroe, Galveston Island West End, Galveston Causeway, Texas City,
Matagorda, Friendswood, La Porte, Deer Park, Rosenberg, Lake Jackson,
Alvin, Angleton, Dickinson, and Stafford.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
  county, Harris.

* WHEN...Until 1015 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 712 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
    Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Northwestern Pasadena, northern Missouri City, South Houston,
    Bellaire, Humble, West University Place, Galena Park, Jacinto
    City, Jersey Village, Hunters Creek Village, Bunker Hill
    Village, Piney Point Village, Greater Heights, Memorial Park,
    Afton Oaks / River Oaks Area, Neartown / Montrose, Near
    Northside Houston, Fourth Ward, Northside / Northline and

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
