WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 111 are expected.

* WHERE...In Puerto Rico, Culebra, Mayaguez and Vicinity, Northeast,
  Ponce and Vicinity, Southeast, Southwest, and Vieques Counties. In
  Virgin Islands, St Croix and St. Thomas, St. John, and Adjacent
  Islands Counties.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 6 PM AST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of USVI.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

.Lightning...Isolated thunderstorms possible across the local
waters, and some of them will move inland. Be aware of
thunderstorms in your area and be prepared to take shelter.

.Excessive Rainfall...Flooding of urban areas, roads, small
streams, and washes. Isolated flash floods possible.

.Excessive Heat...Heat index 108-111 degrees across the urban and
coastal areas. Heat exhaustion likely with prolonged exposure.
Heat stroke possible.

.Rip Currents...Life-threatening rip currents are possible in the
surf zone particularly across St Croix`s eastern half.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Local effects, the available tropical moisture and sea breeze
variations will promote a limited to elevated flooding risk
everyday. Hot and muggy conditions will persist for most days of
the week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is encouraged. Please relay any information
about flooding, winds, waves, and rip currents to the National
Weather Service in San Juan.
