This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of USVI.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

.Lightning...Isolated thunderstorms possible across all the
islands. Be aware of thunderstorms in your area and be prepared
to take shelter.

.Excessive Rainfall...Ponding of water in roads and poorly
drained areas across all the islands.

.Excessive Heat...Heat index of 108-111 degrees expected across
St. Croix. Heat exhaustion likely with prolonged exposure. Heat
stroke possible.

.Rip Currents...Life-threatening rip currents are possible in the
surf zone particularly across most beaches of St. Croix.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Hot and muggy conditions will persist for most days. Scattered
showers and isolated thunderstorms may cause ponding of water in
roads and poor drainage areas on Thursday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is encouraged. Please relay any information
about flooding, heat, and rip currents to the National Weather
Service in San Juan.

  heat index values that can affect individuals sensitive to heat.

* WHERE...In Puerto Rico, Mayaguez and Vicinity, North Central,
  Northwest, and San Juan and Vicinity Counties. In Virgin Islands,
  St Croix County.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 4 PM AST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
