...SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON...

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THUNDERSTORMS: THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY IN THE LAKE REGION. ALSO,
THERE IS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS OVER MUCH OF THE REMAINDER OF
SOUTH FLORIDA. THE MAIN THREAT WILL BE CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING,
LOCALIZED GUSTY WINDS, AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS.

WIND: LOCALIZED WIND GUSTS OF 40 TO 50 MPH ARE POSSIBLE IN ANY
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS THAT DEVELOP.

FLOODING: SOME LOCALIZED PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN AREAS,
ESPECIALLY AREAS WITH POOR DRAINAGE, IS POSSIBLE.

RIP CURRENTS: THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK FOR RIP CURRENTS ALONG THE
GULF AND ATLANTIC BEACHES.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE EACH DAY, MAINLY DURING THE
AFTERNOONS AND EARLY EVENINGS FOCUSING MAINLY ACROSS THE INTERIOR
AND EAST COASTAL AREAS. THE MAIN THREAT FROM THESE THUNDERSTORMS
WILL BE FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.

WIDESPREAD SPOTTER ACTIVATION IS NOT ANTICIPATED, HOWEVER,
INDIVIDUAL SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO REPORT HIGH WIND, HAIL,
AND FLOODING TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORECAST OFFICE IN
MIAMI.
