This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Thunderstorms are forecast today into tonight...initially across
northern sections of the state late this morning into the
afternoon hours...then chances increase further south by later
this afternoon into tonight. While the overall threat for seeing
severe weather is generally low...a few strong to severe
thunderstorms could be seen. Damaging winds and large hail will be
the primary threat with the strongest storms. Locally heavy
rainfall will also be possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Thunderstorms remain in the forecast across the area for Friday
into Friday night before chances decrease over the weekend. The
overall severe weather threat remains low at this time...but a
strong to severe thunderstorm is possible. Damaging winds and some
large hail could be seen with the strongest storms. Some locally
heavy rainfall could also be seen.

From Sunday through early next week...a period of above normal
temperatures is expected to persist across the state. Daily highs
are expected to approach or exceed 90 degrees in many
locations...with heat index values in the upper 90s at times.

...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northwestern
Randolph, northeastern Fulton and north central Sharp Counties
through 430 PM CDT
...

At 358 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles east of Mammoth Spring State Park, or 7 miles east of Mammoth
Spring, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
