...NEAR FREEZING TEMPERATURES IN THE CENTRAL VALLEY AND DELTA
THIS MORNING...

.THE COMBINATION OF LIGHTER WINDS AND A COOL AIRMASS AS WELL AS
MAINLY CLEAR SKIES WILL MAKE FOR A COLD START TO THE MORNING.
TEMPERATURES THROUGHOUT THE CENTRAL VALLEY AND DELTA ARE EXPECTED TO
DROP TO THE LOWEST VALUES OF THE WINTER SEASON SO FAR WITH MANY
LOCATIONS HITTING THE FREEZING MARK. THIS WILL BE THE FIRST
WIDESPREAD FROST OF THE SEASON.

* TEMPERATURES: IN THE MID TO LOWER 30S.

* TIMING: GROUND FROST WILL BE POSSIBLE BY ABOUT 4 AM AS EYE LEVEL
  TEMPERATURES DROP INTO THE MID TO LOWER 30S. TEMPERATURES ARE
  EXPECTED TO WARM INTO THE UPPER 30S BY 9 AM.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: STOCKTON...MODESTO...SACRAMENTO.

* IMPACTS: FROST SENSITIVE PLANTS MAY BE DAMAGED OR KILLED IF
  LEFT UNPROTECTED FROM THE COLD.
