COASTAL HAZARD MESSAGE

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON PDT SUNDAY...

* SURF...HIGH SURF OF 11 TO 16 FEET WITH SETS TO 18 FEET IS
  EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS NORTHWEST AND WEST FACING
  BEACHES. THE SURF IS EXPECTED TO DIMINISH BEGINNING THIS
  AFTERNOON BUT REMAIN ABOVE 10 FEET THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.

* LOCATIONS...NORTHWEST AND WEST FACING BEACHES ACROSS THE
  CENTRAL COAST.

* IMPACTS...LARGE POWERFUL AND DAMAGING WAVES AND STRONG
  CURRENTS WILL CREATE A RISK OF OCEAN DROWNING. SNEAKER WAVES
  CAN SUDDENLY OVERRUN PREVIOUSLY DRY BEACHES AND JETTIES.

* TIDES...HIGH TIDES WILL BE MODERATELY HIGH AROUND 5.4 FT AT
  11:11 AM PDT THIS MORNING... 4.0 FT AT 11:30 PM PDT TONIGHT...
  AND AROUND 5.2 FT AT 11:40 AM PDT SUNDAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF WILL AFFECT BEACHES IN
THE ADVISORY AREA...PRODUCING LOCALIZED BEACH EROSION AND
DANGEROUS SWIMMING CONDITIONS. SWIM NEAR A LIFEGUARD. IF CAUGHT
IN A RIP CURRENT, RELAX AND FLOAT. DON`T SWIM AGAINST THE
CURRENT. IF ABLE, SWIM IN A DIRECTION FOLLOWING THE SHORELINE. IF
UNABLE TO ESCAPE, FACE THE SHORE AND CALL OR WAVE FOR HELP.
