530 PM PDT FOR EAST CENTRAL LOS ANGELES COUNTY...

AT 356 PM PDT...DOPPLER RADAR AND AUTOMATED RAIN GAUGES CONTINUE TO
INDICATE LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN OVER 0.8 INCH PER HOUR JUST EAST OF
ALHAMBRA. RAINFALL TOTALS RANGE FROM 1.6 TO OVER 2 INCHES OF RAIN
SINCE 2PM PDT. THIS WILL CAUSE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING IN
THE ADVISORY AREA.

THERE WILL BE A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS
ACROSS MUCH OF THE REGION TODAY...INCLUDING THE COASTAL WATERS. THE
STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO BE ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS...CUYAMA
VALLEY...AND ANTELOPE VALLEY THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING...WHERE
SLOW MOVING STORMS COULD PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL WITH POTENTIAL FLASH
FLOODING. IN ADDITION...ANY THUNDERSTORM COULD PRODUCE SMALL
HAIL...GUSTY WINDS...AND DANGEROUS CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
