...GUSTY WINDS EXPECTED FRIDAY ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST
CALIFORNIA...

.A STORM WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA FRIDAY AND GENERATE PERIODS OF
MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN AND GUSTY WINDS. WINDS WILL LIKELY EXCEED
ADVISORY LEVELS NEAR THE COAST OF LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTIES
AS WELL AS THE ANTELOPE VALLEY. STRONG WINDS ARE EXPECTED IN THE
MOUNTAINS AS WELL AND THOSE ARE COVERED IN THE WINTER STORM
WARNING. MANY OTHER AREAS WILL BE BREEZY AS WELL, ESPECIALLY THE
CENTRAL COAST AND ADDITIONAL ADVISORIES MAY BE NEEDED.

SATURDAY.

* WINDS...WEST TO SOUTHWEST WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45
  MPH.

* IMPACTS...GUSTY WINDS WILL MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT, ESPECIALLY
  FOR DRIVERS OF HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. WINDS MAY DOWN TREES AND
  POWER LINES.

...EXTENDED PERIOD OF HIGH SURF THROUGH TUESDAY FOR SOUTHWESTERN
CALIFORNIA BEACHES...

.AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF HIGH SURF WILL COME TO AREA BEACHES TODAY
THROUGH TUESDAY. THIS LARGE LONG-PERIOD WEST SWELL HAS THE
POTENTIAL TO BRING THE HIGHEST SURF SEEN IN RECENT YEARS TO THE
REGION. VERY LARGE SURF WILL CREATE DANGEROUS OCEAN CONDITIONS AND
HAZARDS TO BEACH AREAS...ESPECIALLY FOR THE CENTRAL COAST. THE
SURF WILL PEAK FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SATURDAY THEN SLOWLY
SUBSIDE SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY...HIGH TIDES ARE FORECAST TO BE BETWEEN 5
AND 6 FEET EACH MORNING BETWEEN 500 AM AND 700 AM. THE
COMBINATION OF VERY LARGE SURF AND HIGH TIDES COULD RESULT IN SOME
MINOR COASTAL FLOODING ISSUES.

REMAIN CALM. DON`T FIGHT THE CURRENT. SWIM IN A DIRECTION
FOLLOWING THE SHORELINE. WHEN OUT OF THE CURRENT...SWIM BACK TO
SHORE. IF TIRED...FLOAT OR TREAD WATER UNTIL OUT OF THE RIP
