...Gusty northwest to north winds across portions of southwestern
California through at least Friday morning...

.Weak frontal systems passing to the north of the region will
generate gusty northerly winds across portions of Southwestern
California through at least Friday. Gusty north winds may continue
for some areas through Friday night with moderate northeast winds
possible Saturday

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM PDT THIS MORNING...

* WINDS AND TIMING...Northerly winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35
  mph will persist through mid morning. The strongest winds will
  occur below passes and canyons from Malibu to the Hollywood
  Hills.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will make driving difficult, especially
  for drivers of high profile vehicles. Major roads that will be
  affected include the 405 in West Los Angeles, and Highway 1
  from Malibu to Santa Monica.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

When driving, use extra caution. Be prepared for sudden gusty
cross winds.

...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY
EVENING...

* HAZARDS...DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS AND BREAKING WAVES ARE
  EXPECTED DUE TO ELEVATED SURF OF 3 TO 6 FEET. LOCAL SETS TO 7
  FEET ARE POSSIBLE. HIGHEST SURF IS EXPECTED EACH AFTERNOON AND
  EVENING ON WEST-FACING BEACHES.

* IMPACTS...THERE IS AN INCREASED RISK OF OCEAN DROWNING. RIP
  CURRENTS CAN PULL SWIMMERS AND SURFERS OUT TO SEA. WAVES CAN
  WASH PEOPLE OFF BEACHES AND ROCKS...AND CAPSIZE SMALL BOATS
  NEARSHORE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT IS ISSUED WHEN THREATS SUCH AS RIP
CURRENTS...LONGSHORE CURRENTS...SNEAKER WAVES AND OTHER HAZARDS
CREATE LIFE-THREATENING CONDITIONS IN THE SURF ZONE. SWIM NEAR A
LIFEGUARD. IF CAUGHT IN A RIP CURRENT, RELAX AND FLOAT. DON`T
SWIM AGAINST THE CURRENT. IF ABLE, SWIM IN A DIRECTION FOLLOWING
THE SHORELINE. IF UNABLE TO ESCAPE, FACE THE SHORE AND CALL OR
WAVE FOR HELP.
