A BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT IS ISSUED WHEN THREATS SUCH AS STRONG
RIP CURRENTS...ELEVATED SURF HEIGHTS...MINOR TIDAL OVERFLOW...OR
LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE AT LOCAL BEACHES. OBEY POSTED WARNING
SIGNS AND FLAGS AND TALK TO A LIFEGUARD BEFORE SWIMMING. USE
CAUTION WHEN IN OR NEAR THE WATER AND ALWAYS SWIM NEAR A
LIFEGUARD.

...HOT AND WINDY SUNDAY AND MONDAY FOR THE COAST...INLAND
VALLEYS...AND COASTAL FOOTHILLS...

.STRONG HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT OFF THE CALIFORNIA COAST...AND
SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE GREAT BASIN...WILL BRING HOT AND
WINDY SANTA ANA CONDITIONS SUNDAY THROUGH MONDAY. THE WINDIEST
AREAS WILL INCLUDE THE COASTAL MOUNTAIN FOOTHILLS...THE SANTA ANA
MOUNTAINS...AND EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE INLAND VALLEYS. WINDS MAY
WEAKEN SLIGHTLY FOR MONDAY...BUT THE HEAT WILL CONTINUE IN THE
COASTAL AND VALLEY AREAS.

  95 NEAR THE MESAS...AND FOR MONDAY IN THE UPPER 80S NEAR THE
  COAST TO UPPER 90S NEAR THE MESAS.

* IMPACTS...OVEREXPOSURE TO HEAT COULD LEAD TO HEAT ILLNESS
  ESPECIALLY FOR PEOPLE AT RISK...INCLUDING THE ELDERLY AND
  CHILDREN. PETS ARE ALSO AT RISK.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS IF YOU WORK OR SPEND TIME OUTSIDE. WHEN
POSSIBLE... RESCHEDULE STRENUOUS ACTIVITIES TO EARLY MORNING OR
EVENING.  KNOW THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT
STROKE.  WEAR LIGHT WEIGHT AND LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING WHEN
POSSIBLE AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER.
