...HOT WEATHER INLAND THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

.HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL STRENGTHEN THROUGH TUESDAY...THEN
SLOWLY WEAKEN INTO NEXT WEEKEND. THIS WILL BRING WELL ABOVE
AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURES FOR THE MOUNTAINS...DESERTS...AND
INLAND EMPIRE THROUGH WEDNESDAY WITH THE PEAK OF THE HEAT
EXPECTED TUESDAY.

...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 8 PM PDT
WEDNESDAY...

* TEMPERATURE...HOTTEST HIGH TEMPERATURES ON TUESDAY OF 108 TO 115
  IN THE LOWER DESERTS...100 TO 106 IN THE UPPER DESERTS...AND 98
  TO 105 IN THE INLAND EMPIRE.

* IMPACTS...HEAT ILLNESS POSSIBLE TO THOSE PEOPLE MOST AT RISK
  INCLUDING CHILDREN...ELDERLY...AND THOSE WITH CHRONIC ILLNESS.
  PETS ARE ALSO VULNERABLE TO HEAT ILLNESS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS IF YOU WORK OR SPEND TIME OUTSIDE. WHEN
POSSIBLE... RESCHEDULE STRENUOUS ACTIVITIES TO EARLY MORNING OR
EVENING.  KNOW THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT
STROKE.  WEAR LIGHT WEIGHT AND LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING WHEN
POSSIBLE AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER.

TO REDUCE RISK DURING OUTDOOR WORK THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND
HEALTH ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDS SCHEDULING FREQUENT REST BREAKS
IN SHADED OR AIR CONDITIONED ENVIRONMENTS. ANYONE OVERCOME BY
HEAT SHOULD BE MOVED TO A COOL AND SHADED LOCATION.   HEAT STROKE
IS AN EMERGENCY - CALL 9 1 1.
