BELOW PASSES AND CANYONS INTO THIS AFTERNOON...

.SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE GREAT BASIN WILL CONTINUE PERIODS
OF GUSTY NORTHEAST TO EAST WINDS NEAR THE COASTAL FOOTHILLS AND
BELOW PASSES AND CANYONS INTO THIS AFTERNOON. WEAKER OFFSHORE
WINDS WILL CONTINUE INTO TUESDAY.

AFTERNOON...

* WINDS...AREAS OF EAST WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 50 MPH.

* TIMING...STRONGEST WINDS THIS MORNING...THEN DECREASING DURING
  THE AFTERNOON.

* LOCATION...ALONG COASTAL MOUNTAIN SLOPES...ADJACENT FOOTHILL
  AREAS AND THROUGH THE SAN GORGONIO PASS.

* VISIBILITY...LOCALLY REDUCED IN BLOWING DUST.

* IMPACTS...STRONG CROSS WINDS WILL BE A POTENTIAL HAZARD FOR
  HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. BROKEN TREE LIMBS AND OTHER DEBRIS WILL
  BE POSSIBLE.

* OUTLOOK...PERIODS OF GUSTY EAST WINDS WILL CONTINUE INTO
  TUESDAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS
THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH
