CLARITA VALLEY...

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY
OVER THE COAST AND VALLEY AREAS OF LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA
COUNTIES...

.WEAKER BUT STILL GUSTY WINDS ARE EXPECTED LATER TONIGHT INTO
MONDAY...ALONG WITH DRIER AIR. THIS WILL RESULT IN CRITICAL

COUNTIES...ESPECIALLY IN THE LATE MORNING AND AFTERNOON HOURS.

CONDITIONS) WILL ONLY BE MET WHERE THE WINDS ARE THE STRONGEST...
NAMELY THE LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTY MOUNTAINS AND THE SANTA
CLARITA VALLEY.

STRONGER NORTHEAST FLOW IS EXPECTED MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH
WEDNESDAY. THIS WILL LIKELY RESULT IN WIDESPREAD RED FLAG
CONDITIONS AND DURATIONS OVER LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTIES...
INCLUDING THE COASTAL SECTIONS. WHILE WEAKER WINDS ARE EXPECTED
WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY...CONTINUED RED FLAG CONDITIONS ARE

* WINDS...AREAS OF NORTHEAST WINDS 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40
  MPH LATE TONIGHT AND MONDAY...BECOMING 20 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS
  TO 50 MPH TUESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. WINDS STRONGEST
  IN THE LATE MORNING AND AFTERNOON HOURS.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...8 TO 18 PERCENT. POOR OVERNIGHT RECOVERIES.

* TEMPERATURES...60 TO 70 DEGREES ON MONDAY...THEN 65 TO 75 ON
  TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY.

* IMPACTS...RAPID FIRE GROWTH AND EXTREME FIRE BEHAVIOR IS
  EXPECTED IF FIRE IGNITION OCCURS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION OF
STRONG WINDS...LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...AND WARM TEMPERATURES WILL
CREATE EXTREME FIRE BEHAVIOR. PLEASE ADVISE THE APPROPRIATE
OFFICIALS OR FIRE CREWS IN THE FIELD OF THIS RED FLAG WARNING.
