...GUSTY SANTA ANA WINDS CONTINUE OVER SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA
THROUGH MONDAY...

.GUSTY SANTA ANA WINDS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE TYPICAL WIND
CORRIDORS OF LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTIES THROUGH EARLY
MONDAY AFTERNOON. WHILE WINDS HAVE DIMINISHED THIS EVENING
ACROSS COASTAL AREAS...GUSTY NORTHEAST TO EAST WINDS WILL
IMPACT THE VENTURA COUNTY COASTAL PLAIN ONCE AGAIN ON
MONDAY...PROMPTING THE NEW ADVISORY AREA. WINDS ON MONDAY
ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE MORE OF AN EASTERLY COMPONENT AND ARE
GENERALLY NOT EXPECTED TO BE AS STRONG AS TODAY.
DURING THE STRONGEST WINDS... HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS
WILL STILL BE POSSIBLE...WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR DOWNED TREE
BRANCHES AND POWER LINES. THE GUSTY SANTA ANA WINDS WILL ALSO
BRING HOT TEMPERATURES AND CONTINUED EXTREME FIRE DANGER TO
MUCH OF LOS ANGELES AND VENTURA COUNTIES THROUGH MONDAY

  WIND PRONE LOCATIONS.

* IMPACTS...WINDS THIS STRONG CAN DOWN TREE BRANCHES AND POWER
  LINES CAUSING POWER OUTAGES. THERE MAY BE AREAS OF BLOWING
  DUST. GUSTY WINDS WILL MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR

NORTHEAST WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE VENTURA COUNTY
COAST AND THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY COAST FROM MALIBU TO HOLLYWOOD
HILLS...

.RED FLAG CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS MUCH OF LOS ANGELES AND
VENTURA COUNTIES THROUGH MONDAY DUE TO THE COMBINATION OF GUSTY
SANTA ANA WINDS...HOT TEMPERATURES...VERY LOW HUMIDITIES...AND
EXCEPTIONALLY DRY FUELS. WIND GUSTS ARE NOT EXPECTED TO BE AS
STRONG MONDAY...HOWEVER TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO BE SLIGHTLY
WARMER AND HUMIDITIES STILL IN THE SINGLE DIGITS AND LOW TEENS IN
MOST AREAS. VERY RAPID FIRE SPREAD AND EXTREME FIRE

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...MINIMUM HUMIDITIES BETWEEN 5 AND 10
  PERCENT THROUGH MONDAY. POOR HUMIDITY RECOVERIES AT NIGHT...
  ESPECIALLY WINDY AREAS.

* TEMPERATURES...HIGHS 90 TO 100 DEGREES ACROSS LOWER
  ELEVATIONS. VERY WARM OVERNIGHT LOWS IN THE 70S TO AROUND 80
  DEGREES IN FOOTHILLS AND WINDY AREAS.

* IMPACTS...IF FIRE IGNITION OCCURS THERE COULD BE VERY RAPID
  SPREAD OF WILDFIRE AND EXTREME FIRE BEHAVIOR THAT COULD LEAD
  TO A THREAT TO LIFE AND PROPERTY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION OF
GUSTY WINDS...LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...AND VERY WARM TEMPERATURES
WILL CREATE EXTREME FIRE BEHAVIOR.
