.A COLD STORM SYSTEM MOVING ACROSS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA WILL BRING
ADDITIONAL RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS TO THE MOUNTAINS OF SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. SNOWFALL WILL BE LIMITED TO
LOCATIONS ABOVE 6500 FEET IN ELEVATION.

* SNOW LEVELS...LOWERING TO 6500 FT THIS MORNING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...1 TO 3 INCHES...WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS
  POSSIBLE ON THE HIGHEST PEAKS.

* TIMING...SNOW SHOWERS WILL TAPER OFF THIS AFTERNOON. SCATTERED
  SNOW SHOWERS POSSIBLE TONIGHT AND COULD CAUSE ADDITIONAL SLICK
  SPOTS ON ROADS...BUT ONLY MINOR ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: BIG BEAR CITY...BIG BEAR LAKE...FAWNSKIN...MT
  SAN JACINTO STATE PARK.

* WINDS...WEST 25 TO 35 MPH...WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL WILL BE HAZARDOUS AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE
  MOUNTAINS DUE TO SNOW ON ROADWAYS AND POOR VISIBILITY DUE TO
  SNOW AND FOG. CHAINS MAY BE REQUIRED IN SOME AREAS.

* OUTLOOK...CONDITIONS WILL IMPROVE SUNDAY AS HIGH PRESSURE
  BUILDS IN.

* TIMING...THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

* LOCATION...MOUNTAIN RIDGES...DESERT SLOPES...THROUGH AND BELOW
  CANYONS AND PASSES. IN THE COACHELLA VALLEY...THROUGH AND BELOW
  THE SAN GORGONIO PASS AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 10. INTERSTATE 8
  IN THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY MOUNTAINS AND DESERT WILL BE IMPACTED AS
  WELL.

* VISIBILITY...MAY BE REDUCED IN THE DESERT DUE TO BLOWING DUST
  AND SAND AND IN THE MOUNTAINS DUE TO BLOWING SNOW.

* IMPACTS...THE WINDS MAY MAKE FOR DIFFICULT DRIVING
  CONDITIONS...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. WATCH OUT
  FOR BROKEN TREE LIMBS.

* OUTLOOK...CONDITIONS WILL SLIGHTLY IMPROVE LATE SATURDAY...
  AND THROUGH SUNDAY.

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS
