Heat Advisory

URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE

...Heat Advisory for the Inland Empire and the Mountains below
5000 feet extended through Monday...

.The hot airmass is slower to move out of the region than
previously thought, and will persist one more day. As a result,
the Heat Advisory has been extended through Monday in the Inland
Empire and the Mountains below 5000 feet. The Heat Warning
remains in effect for the Lower Deserts through Monday evening.
High temperatures Monday were raised in most areas. Cooler
onshore flow will move into Southern California Tuesday and
Wednesday.

...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM PDT MONDAY...

* High Temperatures...94 to 104.

* Location...Elevations below 5000 FT.

* Impacts...Those working or spending time outdoors, the
  elderly, children, and those unaccustomed to excessive heat
  will be most susceptible to dangerous heat illness.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take extra precautions...if you work or spend time outside. When
possible...reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.
