VALLEYS...AND COASTAL FOOTHILLS...

.STRONG HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT OFF THE CALIFORNIA COAST...AND
SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE GREAT BASIN...WILL BRING HOT AND
WINDY SANTA ANA CONDITIONS THROUGH MONDAY. THE WINDIEST AREAS
WILL INCLUDE THE COASTAL MOUNTAIN FOOTHILLS...THE SANTA ANA
MOUNTAINS...AND EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE INLAND VALLEYS. WINDS MAY
WEAKEN SLIGHTLY FOR MONDAY...BUT THE HEAT WILL CONTINUE IN THE

WARMER WEATHER THROUGH MONDAY WITH PERIODS OF GUSTY NORTHEAST
WINDS NEAR THE COASTAL FOOTHILLS AND INTO EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE
VALLEYS...INCLUDING INLAND ORANGE COUNTY. THE MOST CRITICAL
COMBINATION OF HEAT...LOW HUMIDITIES...AND STRONG WINDS IS

* HUMIDITIES...LOWEST OF 6 TO 10 PERCENT TODAY WITH POOR OVERNIGHT
  RECOVERY. LOWEST OF 10 TO 20 PERCENT ON MONDAY.

* OUTLOOK...GRADUAL COOLING WITH HIGHER HUMIDITIES AND WEAKER
  WINDS TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY.

* IMPACTS...ANY FIRES THAT START MAY EXHIBIT EXTREME FIRE
  BEHAVIOR AND SPREAD RAPIDLY. OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT
  RECOMMENDED.
