...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM PDT FOR SOUTH
CENTRAL RIVERSIDE AND NORTH CENTRAL SAN DIEGO COUNTIES...

AT 336 PM PDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
THAT THE THUNDERSTORM THAT PROMPTED THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING HAS NOW
MOVED SOUTH NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 79 AND HIGHWAY S-2 NEAR
WARNER SPRINGS. FLASH FLOODING IS...OR WILL LIKELY OCCUR...NEAR THIS
AREA AND ALSO POSSIBLY FURTHER NORTH ALONG HIGHWAY 79 WHERE HEAVY
RAIN FELL EARLIER. RADAR ESTIMATES THAT NEAR 3 INCHES OF RAIN FELL
FROM THE EARLIER HEAVY RAINS NORTH OF WARNER SPRINGS. THIS STORM WAS
LOCATED 7 MILES EAST OF PALOMAR MOUNTAIN...OR 22 MILES WEST OF
BORREGO SPRINGS.

OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO OAK
GROVE AND AGUANGA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 PM PDT FOR SOUTH
CENTRAL SAN DIEGO COUNTY...

AT 142 PM PDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
STRONG THUNDERSTORM NOW MOVING SOUTH JUST NORTH OF CAMPO...WITH
SPOTTERS REPORTING PEA SIZE HAIL AND RAINFALL OF 0.17 INCHES IN THE
PAST 10 MINUTES NEAR LAKE MORENA. THE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING SOUTH
SLOWLY. THIS THUNDERSTORM MAY PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING NEAR MORENA
VILLAGE AND INTERSTATE 94.

OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO MOUNT
LAGUNA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
