...STRONG GUSTY SANTA WINDS TODAY BELOW THE CAJON PASS AND SANTA
ANA MOUNTAINS AND FOOTHILLS...SPREADING SOUTHWARD INTO THE
MOUNTAINS AND VALLEYS OF RIVERSIDE AND SAN DIEGO COUNTIES FOR LATE
MONDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...

.SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE GREAT BASIN WILL BRING PERIODS OF
MODERATE TO STRONG GUSTY SANTA ANA WINDS THROUGH WEDNESDAY. GUSTY
SANTA ANA WINDS WILL CONTINUE BELOW THE CAJON PASS AND IN THE
SANTA ANA MOUNTAINS AND FOOTHILLS TODAY. GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS
WILL DIMINISH SOMEWHAT...BUT CONTINUE TONIGHT INTO MONDAY. FOR
LATE MONDAY INTO TUESDAY...STRONG GUSTY NORTHEAST TO EAST WINDS
WILL INTENSIFY FOR THE MOUNTAINS...FOOTHILLS AND COASTAL SLOPES.

  GUSTS TO 85 MPH.

* LOCATION...ALONG THE COASTAL SLOPES OF THE RIVERSIDE COUNTY
  MOUNTAINS...AND IN THE MOUNTAINS AND INLAND VALLEYS OF SAN
  DIEGO COUNTY.

* TIMING...WINDS STRENGTHENING LATE MONDAY...WITH STRONGEST WINDS
  MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY AND WITH A SECONDARY PEAK ON TUESDAY
  NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...BROKEN TREE LIMBS...DEBRIS ON ROADWAYS...ISOLATED
  POWER OUTAGES POSSIBLE...MINOR STRUCTURAL DAMAGE POSSIBLE WITH
  THE STRONGEST GUSTS.

* OUTLOOK...THE WINDS WILL DECREASE ON WEDNESDAY...BUT WILL REMAIN GUSTY
  IN THE OFFSHORE WIND PRONE AREAS THROUGH THANKSGIVING.

A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS A HAZARDOUS HIGH WIND EVENT IS EXPECTED
OR OCCURRING. SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH OR GUSTS
OF 58 MPH OR MORE CAN LEAD TO PROPERTY DAMAGE.

MOUNTAINS...COASTAL FOOTHILLS...AND INLAND VALLEYS MONDAY THROUGH
WEDNESDAY. HUMIDITY VALUES WILL FALL INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS EACH
DAY WITH POOR OVERNIGHT RECOVERIES THROUGH THANKSGIVING. OFFSHORE
WINDS WILL CONTINUE...BUT WEAKEN FOR THANKSGIVING DAY.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN DIEGO HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG
WARNING FOR STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITIES...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT FROM 4 AM MONDAY TO 6 PM PST WEDNESDAY. THE FIRE WEATHER
WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST TO EAST 15 TO 30 MPH...WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH ON
  MONDAY. MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY...NORTHEAST TO EAST WINDS
  INCREASING TO 25 TO 35 MPH...WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH AND LOCAL
  GUSTS OVER 80 MPH. WINDS WILL WEAKEN SLIGHTLY TUESDAY NIGHT INTO
  WEDNESDAY...WITH SUSTAINED EAST WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH AND LOCAL
  GUSTS TO 60 MPH.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITIES...LOWEST DAYTIME AROUND 5 PERCENT WITH POOR
  OVERNIGHT RECOVERY.

* TIMING...MONDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING. STRONGEST WINDS IN
  THE MORNINGS...WITH WINDS PEAKING TUESDAY.

* OUTLOOK...LOW HUMIDITIES WILL CONTINUE THROUGH
  THANKSGIVING...WITH LOCALLY GUSTY EAST WINDS IN THE MOUNTAINS
  AND VALLEYS OF RIVERSIDE AND SAN DIEGO COUNTIES.
