...STRONG WEST WINDS ALONG THE DESERT SLOPES AND ADJACENT DESERTS
SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY MORNING...

.STRENGTHENING ONSHORE FLOW FROM A TROUGH PASSING BY NORTH OF THE
AREA WILL BRING STRONG AND GUSTY WEST WINDS TO THE MOUNTAIN RIDGE-
TOPS...DESERT SLOPES...THROUGH AND BELOW PASSES AND CANYONS AND
INTO ADJACENT DESERT AREAS SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY
MORNING. THE STRONG WINDS WILL BEGIN IN THE HIGH DESERTS AND SAN
BERNARDINO COUNTY MOUNTAINS SATURDAY AFTERNOON...WITH STRONG WINDS
THEN OCCURRING IN THE RIVERSIDE AND SAN DIEGO COUNTY MOUNTAINS AND
DESERTS STARTING EARLY SATURDAY EVENING. WINDS WILL DIMINISH LATE
SATURDAY NIGHT BEFORE TURNING OFFSHORE.

SUNDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN DIEGO HAS ISSUED A WIND
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM SATURDAY TO 4 AM PST
SUNDAY.

* WINDS...WEST 15 TO 30 MPH WITH 40 TO 50 MPH GUSTS AND LOCAL 55
  MPH GUSTS.

* TIMING...EARLY SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.

* LOCATION...MOUNTAIN RIDGE-TOPS...THROUGH AND BELOW CANYONS AND
  PASSES...ALONG THE DESERT SLOPES AND INTO WIND-FAVORED ADJACENT
  DESERT AREAS. SPECIFICALLY...STRONG WINDS WILL OCCUR THROUGH AND
  BELOW THE SAN GORGONIO PASS AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 10 IN THE
  COACHELLA VALLEY. ALSO...INTERSTATE 8 IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY WILL
  BE IMPACTED WITH STRONG WINDS.

* VISIBILITY...LOCALLY REDUCED TO 3 MILES OR LESS IN BLOWING DUST
  AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...STRONG GUSTY WINDS WILL MAKE DRIVING HAZARDOUS...
  ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. WATCH FOR BROKEN TREE
  LIMBS AND LOCALIZED BLOWING DUST.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS
THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH
PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
