...HOT WEATHER FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...

.HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT OVER CALIFORNIA COMBINED WITH OFFSHORE FLOW
WILL BRING HOT DAYTIME WEATHER TO INLAND AREAS THROUGH SUNDAY WITH
HOTTEST TEMPERATURES FROM INLAND OF THE BEACHES TO THE LOWER
COASTAL MOUNTAIN SLOPES. HOTTEST TEMPERATURES TOWARD THE COAST ARE
EXPECTED FRIDAY. MINOR COOLING MAY OCCUR NEAR THE COAST
SATURDAY...SPREADING SLOWLY INLAND SUNDAY.

SATURDAY BELOW 4500 FEET...

THE HEAT ADVISORY IS NOW IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM FRIDAY TO 8 PM PDT
SATURDAY.

* TIMING...HOTTEST TEMPERATURES FROM LATE MORNING THROUGH LATE
  AFTERNOON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.

* LOCATION...BELOW 4500 FEET.

* IMPACTS...HEAT CAN BE STRESSFUL TO ANIMALS AND HUMANS...MAKING
  IT HARD FOR THE BODY TO ACCLIMATE AND REMAIN HYDRATED. WITHOUT
  PRECAUTIONS EVEN HEALTHY ADULTS COULD EXPERIENCE HEAT STRESS AND
  ILLNESS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS IF YOU WORK OR SPEND TIME OUTSIDE. WHEN
POSSIBLE... RESCHEDULE STRENUOUS ACTIVITIES TO EARLY MORNING OR
EVENING.  KNOW THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT
STROKE.  WEAR LIGHT WEIGHT AND LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING WHEN
POSSIBLE AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER.

TO REDUCE RISK DURING OUTDOOR WORK THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND
HEALTH ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDS SCHEDULING FREQUENT REST BREAKS
IN SHADED OR AIR CONDITIONED ENVIRONMENTS. ANYONE OVERCOME BY
HEAT SHOULD BE MOVED TO A COOL AND SHADED LOCATION.   HEAT STROKE
IS AN EMERGENCY - CALL 911.
