...HOT WEATHER SUNDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

.STRONG HIGH PRESSURE WILL DEVELOP OVER THE 4 CORNERS THIS
WEEKEND. AS A RESULT...MUCH WARMER WEATHER WILL OCCUR FROM SUNDAY
THROUGH WEDNESDAY OVER INLAND PORTIONS OF SOCAL. FLOW AROUND THE
HIGH PRESSURE ZONE MAY ALSO BRING ABUNDANT MOISTURE AND THE CHANCE
FOR THUNDERSTORMS TO THE LOCAL MOUNTAINS DURING THIS SAME
TIMEFRAME...BRINGING A MORE PRONOUNCED FEELING OF EXTREME HEAT

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN DIEGO HAS ISSUED A HEAT
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM SUNDAY TO 8 PM PDT
WEDNESDAY.

* TEMPERATURE...RISING TO 110-115 IN THE LOWER DESERTS...105-110
  IN THE HIGH DESERTS...AND 100-107 IN THE INLAND EMPIRE.

* IMPACTS...HEAT ILLNESS POSSIBLE TO THOSE PEOPLE MOST AT RISK
  INCLUDING CHILDREN...ELDERLY...AND THOSE WITH CHRONIC ILLNESS.
  PETS ARE ALSO VULNERABLE TO HEAT ILLNESS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS IF YOU WORK OR SPEND TIME OUTSIDE. WHEN
POSSIBLE, RESCHEDULE STRENUOUS ACTIVITIES TO EARLY MORNING OR
EVENING.  KNOW THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT
STROKE.  WEAR LIGHT WEIGHT AND LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING WHEN
POSSIBLE AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER.

TO REDUCE RISK DURING OUTDOOR WORK THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND
HEALTH ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDS SCHEDULING FREQUENT REST BREAKS
IN SHADED OR AIR CONDITIONED ENVIRONMENTS. ANYONE OVERCOME BY
HEAT SHOULD BE MOVED TO A COOL AND SHADED LOCATION.   HEAT STROKE
IS AN EMERGENCY - CALL 9 1 1.
