...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM PDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN SAN DIEGO COUNTY...

AT 526 PM PDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THAT THE THUNDERSTORMS WHICH
PRODUCED HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WARNED AREA HAD DISSIPATED.  FLASH
FLOODING WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE OVER THE AREA THROUGH 645 PM AS RUNOFF
CONTINUES. A MODERATE RISE IN FLOW IS FORECAST FOR THE FISH CREEK
WASH.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT MAY EXPERIENCE ADDITIONAL FLOODING INCLUDE...I-8
BETWEEN BOULEVARD AND IMPERIAL COUNTY LINE...HWY S1...HWY
S2...NORTHEASTERN BOULEVARD AND JACUMBA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND AS WELL AS
OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM PDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN SAN DIEGO COUNTY...

AT 320 PM PDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL WAS
BEGINNING TO MOVE TO THE NORTH AND EAST...OUT OF THE WARNED AREA.
VERY HEAVY RAINFALL CONTINUED NORTH OF PINE VALLEY AND SOUTH OF
JULIAN.

SPOTTERS REPORTED UP TO 1.5 INCHES OF RAINFALL NEAR MT LAGUNA WITH
RADAR ESTIMATES UP TO 1 INCH ACROSS A WIDESPREAD AREA. VERY HEAVY
RAIN RATES IN EXCESS OF 0.5 INCHES IN 10 MINUTES WERE ALSO REPORTED.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...CUYAMACA
RANCHO STATE PARK...I-8 BETWEEN PINE VALLEY AND BOULEVARD...SOUTHERN
MOUNT LAGUNA...LAKE MORENA...HWY S1 BETWEEN LAKE CUYAMACA AND MOUNT
LAGUNA...PINE VALLEY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES.  ADDITIONALLY...
COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS...STREAMS AND
OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING.

WILL CONTINUE THE POSSIBILITY OF HEAVY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
FOR THE MOUNTAINS...DESERTS AND THE INLAND EMPIRE THROUGH THIS
EVENING. THE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD THREAT SHOULD DIMINISH
BY LATE EVENING.

* PORTIONS OF CALIFORNIA AND SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA...INCLUDING THE
  FOLLOWING AREAS...SAN GORGONIO PASS NEAR BANNING...APPLE AND
  LUCERNE VALLEYS...COACHELLA VALLEY...RIVERSIDE COUNTY
  MOUNTAINS...SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY MOUNTAINS...SAN BERNARDINO AND
  RIVERSIDE COUNTY VALLEYS- THE INLAND EMPIRE...SAN DIEGO COUNTY
  DESERTS AND SAN DIEGO COUNTY MOUNTAINS.

* UNTIL 8 PM PDT THIS EVENING

* PLENTIFUL MONSOONAL MOISTURE AND INSTABILITY WILL CREATE A
  SIGNIFICANT RISK FOR HEAVY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS AND FLASH
  FLOODING. SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL PERSIST INTO THE EARLY
  EVENING HOURS BEFORE GRADUALLY DIMINISHING.

* RECENT BURN SCARS WILL BE PARTICULARLY SUSCEPTIBLE TO FLASH
  FLOODING AND DEBRIS FLOWS. BE ALERT FOR ISSUANCE OF FLASH
  FLOOD WARNINGS FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
