EVENING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN DIEGO HAS ISSUED A HIGH WIND
WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY
EVENING.

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS 30 TO 40 MPH...GUSTING TO 65
  MPH. WIND GUSTS OF 70 MPH OR GREATER ARE POSSIBLE IN THE MORE
  WIND-PRONE AREAS.

* TIMING...SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS INCREASING FRIDAY
  EVENING...BECOMING NORTHWEST LATE FRIDAY NIGHT.

* LOCATION...STRONGEST WINDS NEAR MOUNTAIN RIDGE TOPS AND ON
  ADJACENT DESERT SLOPES.

* VISIBILITY...REDUCED AT TIMES BY BLOWING SAND AND DUST IN THE
  DESERTS.

* IMPACTS...THE WINDS WILL MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY
  FOR MOTORISTS WITH HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. WATCH FOR BROKEN
  TREE LIMBS AND OTHER DEBRIS.

* OUTLOOK...WINDS WILL BEGIN TO WEAKEN LATE SATURDAY
  AFTERNOON...BUT REMAIN GUSTY THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH WIND WATCH MEANS THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR A HAZARDOUS
HIGH WIND EVENT. SUSTAINED WINDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH...OR GUSTS OF
58 MPH OR STRONGER MAY OCCUR. CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE LATEST
FORECASTS.
