.HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL STRENGTHEN THROUGH TUESDAY...THEN
SLOWLY WEAKEN INTO NEXT WEEKEND. THIS WILL MAKE FOR VERY HOT
AFTERNOONS IN THE MOUNTAINS...DESERTS...AND INLAND EMPIRE THROUGH
WEDNESDAY. THE PEAK OF THE HEAT IS EXPECTED TUESDAY.

...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT WEDNESDAY...

* TEMPERATURE...HIGH TEMPERATURES 108 TO 115 IN THE LOWER
  DESERTS...100 TO 106 IN THE UPPER DESERTS... AND 98 TO 105 IN
  THE INLAND EMPIRE. ADDITIONAL CLOUD COVER ON MONDAY MAY KEEP
  TEMPERATURES A BIT BELOW THE HOTTEST DAYS.

* IMPACTS...HEAT ILLNESS POSSIBLE TO THOSE PEOPLE MOST AT RISK
  INCLUDING CHILDREN...ELDERLY...AND THOSE WITH CHRONIC ILLNESS.
  PETS ARE ALSO VULNERABLE TO HEAT ILLNESS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS IF YOU WORK OR SPEND TIME OUTSIDE. WHEN
POSSIBLE... RESCHEDULE STRENUOUS ACTIVITIES TO EARLY MORNING OR
EVENING.  KNOW THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT
STROKE.  WEAR LIGHT WEIGHT AND LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING WHEN
POSSIBLE AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER.

TO REDUCE RISK DURING OUTDOOR WORK THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND
HEALTH ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDS SCHEDULING FREQUENT REST BREAKS
IN SHADED OR AIR CONDITIONED ENVIRONMENTS. ANYONE OVERCOME BY
HEAT SHOULD BE MOVED TO A COOL AND SHADED LOCATION.   HEAT STROKE
IS AN EMERGENCY - CALL 9 1 1.
