...Another round of snow for northern California mountains...

.Heavy snow will continue to fall across northern California
mountains through early morning Saturday. In addition to the
snowfall, gusty winds are likely at times. If planning travel
through the Sierra Cascade range or northern mountains today
through early Saturday, expect lengthy travel delays and chain
controls. Be prepared and check the latest weather and road
reports before departure.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM PDT
SATURDAY...

* TIMING...Snowfall continuing through Saturday morning.

* SNOW AMOUNTS...Additional 6 to 12 inches of accumulation above
  4500 feet through early morning Saturday. Storm total
  accumulations of 1 to 2 feet.

* MAIN IMPACTS...Chain controls and lengthy travel delays likely.
  Poor visibilities due to heavy snow and blowing snow.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring.  Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. If you must
travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle
in case of an emergency.
