...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in
California...

  Middle Fork Feather River Near Portola affecting Plumas County

Run off from recent rain and snow melt will continue flooding
throughout the reach of the Middle Fork Feather River through at
least Thursday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

These river forecasts are based on forecast rainfall and temperature
conditions at time of issuance. If actual conditions vary from these
forecasts...river conditions will vary accordingly. River forecasts
include current and planned reservoir releases.

The next forecast update for these locations will be issued at about
9 AM Wednesday.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Middle Fork Feather River Near Portola.
* until late Thursday night.
* At 3:30 AM Wednesday the stage was 10.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.5 feet.
* Moderate flooding will continue today with decreasing flooding by
  Thursday.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 10.4 feet by
  early this morning. The river will fall below flood stage
  Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 10.5 feet...Significant flooding of lowlands, roads,
  railroads, homes and businesses along river from Beckwourth to
  Sloat, including Portola. Highway 89 in Clio may be covered by
  water through early Thursday.
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 10.2
  feet on January 10, 2017.

...Winter Storm Warning extended until 6 am Wednesday...

.Driving conditions continue to be poor this evening with snow
covered icy roads. Numerous snow showers will continue over the
western slopes for most of the night and roads are expected to
remain in poor condition for travel therefore the winter storm
warning has been extended.

...WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM PST WEDNESDAY...

* Main impacts: Travelers may experience delays. Chain controls.
  Poor visibility due to snow and icy roads.

* Confidence...High.

* Locations...Interstate 80 over Donner pass, Highway 50 over
  Echo summit, Highway 88 over Carson pass, and Lassen park.

* Timing...Periods of snow through tonight before tapering off to
  flurries by daybreak.

* Snow amounts...Additional accumulations up to 3 inches down to
  around 5000 feet.

* Snow levels...4000 to 5000 feet.

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring.  Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in
an emergency. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food,
and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Strong winds
are also possible. This will make travel very hazardous or
impossible.

TUOLUMNE...SACRAMENTO...LAKE...STANISLAUS...SAN JOAQUIN...EL
DORADO...CALAVERAS...TEHAMA...BUTTE...GLENN...SIERRA...YUBA AND
NEVADA COUNTIES...

Officials have reported that Clear Creek out of Whiskeytown Dam in
Shasta County will exceed the safe channel capacity and will flood.
Downstream locations impacted includes the Environmental School and
other residents in low lying areas near the creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
