...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PST THIS EVENING...

* WINDS...SOUTHEAST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH. THE
  STRONGER WINDS WILL OCCUR ALONG AND BELOW THE GRAPEVINE AND WEST
  SIDE OF THE VALLEY NEAR THE COASTAL RANGE WHERE WIND GUSTS UP TO
  60 MPH MAY POSSIBLE AT TIMES.

* TIMING...WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE THIS MORNING AND
  CONTINUE THROUGH THIS EVENING.

* IMPACTS...STRONG WINDS MAY BLOW DOWN LIMBS...TREES...AND POWER
  LINES. SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES ARE EXPECTED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS
THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH
PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.

MOUNTAINS AND FOOTHILL REGIONS THROUGH TONIGHT. SIGNIFICANT RISES
IN WATER LEVELS ARE POSSIBLE ALONG SMALL STREAMS AND RIVERS WITH A
THREAT OF ROCK SLIDES...MUD SLIDES AND DEBRIS FLOWS.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* A PORTION OF CENTRAL CALIFORNIA...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
  AREAS...KERN COUNTY MOUNTAINS...MARIPOSA, MADERA, AND FRESNO
  COUNTY FOOTHILLS...TULARE COUNTY FOOTHILLS AND TULARE COUNTY
  MOUNTAINS.

* THROUGH THIS EVENING

* PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN OVER THE LOWER ELEVATIONS OF THE SIERRA
  FOOTHILLS AND KERN COUNTY MOUNTAINS. RAINFALL TOTAL AMOUNTS OF 1
  TO 2.5 INCHES WILL BE LIKELY OVER THE WEST AND NORTH FACING
  MOUNTAIN SLOPES. SNOW LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO RISE TODAY
  RESULTING IN ADDITIONAL RUNOFF FROM SNOW MELT.

* LANDSLIDES AND ROCKSLIDES ARE VERY COMMON DURING INTENSE RAIN
  EVENTS AND COULD LEAD TO ROAD CLOSURES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
