A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE IS EXPECTED TO BUILD OVER THE WESTERN
U.S. RESULTING IN A RAPID RISE IN TEMPERATURES THROUGH MIDWEEK.
TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO PEAK ON WEDNESDAY WITH INLAND
TEMPERATURES EXPECTED TO RISE INTO THE MID TO UPPER 90S WITH
WARMEST INLAND LOCATIONS REACHING UP TO 108 DEGREES. A GENTLE SEA
BREEZE WILL AID IN KEEPING THE IMMEDIATE COAST INCLUDING MUCH OF
THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA COOLER.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON WORKING OR RECREATING OUTDOORS ON TUESDAY
OR WEDNESDAY PLEASE DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AND WHENEVER POSSIBLE
SEEK SHELTER FROM THE HEAT. NEVER LEAVE CHILDREN OR THE ELDERLY
UNATTENDED IN A VEHICLE. REMEMBER...BEAT THE HEAT...CHECK THE BACK
SEAT. ALSO DON`T FORGET ABOUT YOUR PETS. NEVER LEAVE YOUR PET
UNATTENDED IN A VEHICLE AND BE SURE TO PROVIDE PLENTY OF WATER AND
SHADE TO OUTDOOR ANIMALS.

SLIGHTLY COOLER TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED FOR THE SECOND HALF OF
THE WEEK AND INTO THE WEEKEND AS HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE REGION
GRADUALLY WEAKENS.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CALIFORNIA AND
PACIFIC COASTAL WATERS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A STRENGTHENING UPPER LEVEL RIDGE WILL BRING WARMER TEMPERATURES
TO THE REGION BEGINNING TODAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

A STRONG UPPER LEVEL RIDGE WILL DEVELOP OVER THE AREA EARLY IN THE
WORK WEEK AND RESULT IN VERY WARM TO HOT CONDITIONS ACROSS THE
INLAND VALLEYS BY TUESDAY...CONTINUING INTO WEDNESDAY. WARMEST
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED IN THE EAST BAY VALLEYS...THE SOUTHERN
SANTA CLARA VALLEY...THE INTERIOR VALLEYS OF MONTEREY COUNTY AND
VALLEYS OF SAN BENITO COUNTY. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THESE AREAS
ARE EXPECTED TO REACH OR EXCEED 100 ON BOTH TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY.

CONDITIONS ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY MAY BE STRESSFUL TO THOSE
SENSITIVE TO HEAT. THOSE PLANNING OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES SHOULD
AVOID STRENUOUS ACTIVITIES DURING THE HOTTEST PART OF THE DAY AND
DRINK PLENTY OF LIQUIDS TO STAY HYDRATED. KNOW THE SIGNS AND
SYMPTOMS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT STROKE. NEVER LEAVE YOUNG
CHILDREN OR PETS UNATTENDED IN VEHICLES FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME.

MONITOR THE LATEST WEATHER FORECASTS FOR UPDATED INFORMATION ON
