This hazardous weather outlook is for eastern Utah and western
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Mountain snow will continue through this evening bringing
significant snowfall, especially to the northern ranges, before
this activity decreases later tonight. Accumulations of 8 to 14
inches across expected across the Flat Tops and Elkhead and Park
Ranges by midnight and from 5 to 10 inches across the central
mountains. Most accumulations will be limited to areas above 8500
feet. Meanwhile, strong winds will develop with the passage of a
cold front which will bring areas of blowing snow to the high
country. The lower valleys may experience freezing temperatures
which pose a threat to sensitive vegetation.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Unsettled conditions will linger into Saturday. After a break in
the action Sunday, Colorado`s northern mountains will see a series
of disturbances pass over the area through midweek bringing
periods of rain and snow.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight, however
spotters are encouraged to report snowfall amounts to the
National Weather Service in Grand Junction.
