HAS ISSUED AN AIR QUALITY ACTION DAY FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...

LITCHFIELD.

AN AIR QUALITY ACTION DAY MEANS THAT OZONE WITHIN THE REGION
MAY APPROACH OR EXCEED THE HEALTH STANDARD. THE COMBINATION OF
VERY WARM TEMPERATURES AND A SOUTHWEST WIND FLOW IS CONDUCIVE FOR
HIGH LEVELS OF OZONE TO FORM ACROSS INLAND CONNECTICUT. RESIDENTS
ARE URGED TO AVOID STRENUOUS OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES...ESPECIALLY
SENSITIVE GROUPS SUCH AS THE ELDERLY.
