This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and adjacent counties in
central Maryland and northern Virginia as well as the District of
Columbia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Baltimore-
Washington metro corridor from 1pm to 7pm for an inch or two of
snow. This will impact the evening commute. Southern Maryland may
be affected too, but accumulations are likely to be under an inch.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
7 PM EST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Plan on slippery road conditions,
  including during the evening commute. Total snow accumulations
  of one to two inches are expected.

* WHERE...Metro Baltimore and the District of Columbia, including
  its northern and eastern suburbs.

* WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 7 PM EST this evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Light snow will increase across the
  advisory area Friday afternoon, with conditions turning icy on
  any untreated road surfaces.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
