Coastal Hazard Message National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC 206 PM EDT Mon May 20 2024 DCZ001-210215- /O.CON.KLWX.CF.Y.0069.000000T0000Z-240521T1300Z/ District of Columbia- 206 PM EDT Mon May 20 2024 ...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM EDT TUESDAY... * WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low lying areas due to tidal flooding. * WHERE...Shoreline in the District of Columbia. * WHEN...Until 9 AM EDT Tuesday, especially around the time of high tide. * IMPACTS...Shoreline inundation is expected along portions of the seawall adjacent to Ohio Drive and the Hains Point Loop Road, and near the Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one and a half to two feet above normal. The next high tide at Washington Channel is at 7:13 PM and 7:28 AM. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed.
