NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOUNT HOLLY NJ
938 AM EDT FRI SEP 22 2017

...A MODERATE OR HIGH RISK FOR THE FORMATION OF DANGEROUS RIP
CURRENTS IS EXPECTED THROUGH AT LEAST THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK...

.SWELLS FROM JOSE ARE STILL MAKING IT DANGEROUS TO SWIM OFF OUR
NEW JERSEY AND DELAWARE BEACHES, DESPITE THE PLEASURE OF ABOVE
NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND WARM OCEAN WATERS. FOLLOW THE ADVICE OF
LOCAL OFFICIALS. DO NOT VENTURE MORE THAN ANKLE DEEP INTO THE
WATER. THE WATERS WILL PROBABLY GET ROUGHER LATE THIS WEEKEND OR
EARLY NEXT WEEK WHEN LONG PERIOD AND SLOWLY BUILDING SWELLS FROM
HURRICANE MARIA ARRIVE. THESE WILL CREATE A SOMEWHAT CHAOTIC MIX
OF SURF ON OUR BEACHES AS THE SWELLS FROM MARIA INTERACT WITH THE
SLOWLY DECAYING SWELLS OF WHAT WAS TROPICAL CYCLONE JOSE.
