ALABAMA...SOUTHWEST ALABAMA...NORTHWEST FLORIDA AND SOUTHEAST
MISSISSIPPI.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THERE IS A HIGH RISK OF DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS ALONG THE BEACHES OF
ALABAMA AND THE NORTHWEST FLORIDA PANHANDLE THROUGH TONIGHT.

SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS MAINLY AFTERNOON AND EVENING SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED SUNDAY THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK.
WIDESPREAD SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED BUT SOME STORMS COULD
BRING STRONG GUSTY WINDS...FREQUENT LIGHTNING...AND LOCALLY HEAVY
RAINFALL.

RIP CURRENTS ARE LIFE-THREATENING TO ANYONE ENTERING THE SURF. IF
YOU BECOME CAUGHT IN A RIP CURRENT...YELL AND WAVE YOUR ARMS FOR
HELP AND REMAIN CALM. DO NOT EXHAUST YOURSELF AND STAY AFLOAT
WHILE WAITING FOR HELP. IF YOU HAVE TO SWIM OUT OF A RIP
CURRENT...SWIM PARALLEL TO SHORE AND BACK TOWARD THE BEACH WHEN
POSSIBLE. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SWIM DIRECTLY AGAINST A RIP CURRENT
AS YOU WILL TIRE QUICKLY.
