...CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS INTO EVENING, MAINLY SOUTHWEST...

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

THUNDERSTORMS: ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE
THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING MAINLY ACROSS THE WESTERN INTERIOR AND
PORTIONS OF THE GULF COAST. THE PRIMARY THREAT WILL BE FREQUENT
LIGHTNING.

WIND: THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS IN COLLIER COUNTY AND ADJACENT
GULF WATERS MAY PRODUCE WIND GUSTS TO 45 MPH.

RIP CURRENTS: THERE IS A MODERATE RISK OF RIP CURRENTS FOR
ATLANTIC BEACHES.

TEMPERATURES: HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL REMAIN ABOVE 100 DEGREES FOR
MUCH OF SOUTH FLORIDA UNTIL LATE AFTERNOON, WITH VALUES AROUND 105
DEGREES EXPECTED OVER THE EVERGLADES.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE MAINLY OVER THE INTERIOR AND
WESTERN SECTIONS OF SOUTH FLORIDA FRIDAY AND CONTINUING INTO THE
WEEKEND. FREQUENT LIGHTNING IS THE PRIMARY THREAT.

MAXIMUM HEAT INDEX VALUES FRIDAY AND SATURDAY WILL RANGE FROM 100
TO 107 DEGREES ACROSS SOUTH FLORIDA WITH THE HIGHEST VALUES OVER
COLLIER COUNTY. IF CONFIDENCE INCREASES IN HEAT INDEX VALUES 108
DEGREES OR HIGHER, THEN A HEAT ADVISORY MAY BE ISSUED.
