...NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS, ESPECIALLY THIS EVENING WEST...

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

RIP CURRENTS: THERE IS A MODERATE RISK FOR RIP CURRENTS ON
ATLANTIC BEACHES.

THUNDERSTORMS: SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE OVERNIGHT.
AFTER MIDNIGHT, ACTIVITY WILL BE MOSTLY CONFINED TO THE EAST COAST
METROPOLITAN AREAS AND ATLANTIC WATERS. CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING
IS THE PRIMARY THREAT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS MONITORING A TROPICAL WAVE OVER
THE SOUTHEASTERN BAHAMAS THAT IS EXPECTED TO TRACK WEST OR WEST-
NORTHWEST OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. THERE IS A MEDIUM CHANCE OF
THIS SYSTEM HAVING TROPICAL DEVELOPMENT WITHIN THE NEXT 48 HOURS,
AND A HIGH CHANCE OF DEVELOPMENT IN THE NEXT FIVE DAYS.

ALTHOUGH IT IS TOO EARLY TO TELL WHAT IMPACTS, IF ANY, THIS SYSTEM
WILL HAVE ON SOUTH FLORIDA, RESIDENTS AND VISITORS SHOULD CONTINUE
TO CLOSELY MONITOR THE FORECAST OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS. STAY
INFORMED WITH THE LATEST PRODUCTS FROM THE NATIONAL HURRICANE
CENTER AND THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIAMI.

REGARDLESS OF THE POTENTIAL TROPICAL SYSTEM, THUNDERSTORMS ARE
LIKELY INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. THERE IS A THREAT OF HEAVY RAINFALL
CAUSING FLOODING, PARTICULARLY SATURDAY THROUGH MONDAY. THERE IS A
MODERATE RISK FOR RIP CURRENTS FRIDAY ON ATLANTIC BEACHES, AND
THIS RISK WILL LIKELY INCREASE TO HIGH BY LATE WEEKEND INTO EARLY
NEXT WEEK.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED.
