...INCREASING RISK OF RIP CURRENTS EAST COAST BEACHES THIS WEEKEND...

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

RIP CURRENTS: THERE IS A MODERATE RISK OF RIP CURRENTS ALONG THE
EAST COAST BEACHES OF SOUTH FLORIDA THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON, WITH A
HIGH RISK TONIGHT AS WINDS INCREASE OUT OF THE EAST.

THUNDERSTORMS: SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE
MAINLY THIS AFTERNOON OVER THE INTERIOR AS WELL AS THE GULF COAST
METRO AREAS, WITH ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS EAST COAST METRO AREAS
MAINLY THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON. A FEW STRONG STORMS ARE POSSIBLE
THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY THIS EVENING OVER THE WESTERN SECTIONS OF
THE SOUTH FLORIDA PENINSULA.

WIND: THE STRONGEST STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WIND GUSTS
UP TO 50 MPH.

HAIL: SMALL HAIL IS POSSIBLE WITH THE STRONGEST STORMS.

FLOODING: SOME FLOODING OF STREETS AND LOW-LYING AREAS ARE
POSSIBLE, ESPECIALLY OVER THE INTERIOR AND GULF COAST METRO
AREAS.

WATERSPOUTS: WATERSPOUTS ARE POSSIBLE OVER THE ATLANTIC AND
BISCAYNE BAY WATERS ESPECIALLY THIS MORNING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

THE CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH AND
BE PRIMARILY OVER THE WESTERN SECTIONS OF THE SOUTH FLORIDA
PENINSULA THROUGH THE MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND.

WINDS WILL INCREASE TO NEAR SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY CONDITIONS OVER
ALL OF SOUTH FLORIDA WATERS SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY NIGHT. THIS
WILL INCREASE THE RISK OF LIFE-THREATENING RIP CURRENTS ALONG THE
ATLANTIC BEACHES THROUGH THE MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND.

WIDESPREAD SPOTTER ACTIVATION IS NOT ANTICIPATED, HOWEVER
INDIVIDUAL SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO REPORT HIGH WIND, HAIL AND
FLOODING TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORECAST OFFICE IN
MIAMI.

SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE ATLANTIC WATERS EAST OF
MIAMI BEACH ARE MOVING WEST AND WILL APPROACH THE BEACHES OF
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY BETWEEN 930 AM AND 11 AM. WATERSPOUTS HAVE
BEEN SIGHTED WELL OFFSHORE AND BOATERS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT
FOR ADDITIONAL WATERSPOUT DEVELOPMENT. BOATERS ARE URGED TO MOVE
DIRECTLY AWAY FROM WATERSPOUTS.
