This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for West Central And Southwest
Florida.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

...RIP CURRENT IMPACT...
Enhanced wave action from recent robust onshore flow...while
diminishing today...will maintain high surf with an increased
risk of dangerous rip currents along area beaches through this
afternoon. For maximum safety...swim near a lifeguard. Pay
attention to flags and signs.

...MARINE IMPACTS...
Strong north winds and elevated seas over the Gulf waters early
this morning will result in hazardous boating conditions for
small craft operators. Winds and seas will begin to diminish
shortly after sunrise this morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Two cold fronts are expected to traverse the area...one on Friday
and the second from Sunday into Monday. Moisture will be limited
but still enough of isolated to scattered showers. In additions
winds will increase behind the front Friday with hazardous
boating conditions possible.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed today.

...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM EST THIS
AFTERNOON...

* RIP CURRENT TIMING...Elevated wave action will continue to
  support an high risk of rip currents through this afternoon.

* RIP CURRENT IMPACTS...Strong rip currents will be hazardous for
  those in the surf zone along area beaches today.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away
from shore...which occur most often at low spots or breaks in the
sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as groins...
jetties and piers. For maximum safety...swim near a lifeguard.
Pay attention to flags and signs.

If you become caught in a rip current...yell for help. Remain
calm...do not exhaust yourself and stay afloat while waiting for
help. If you have to swim out of a rip current...swim parallel to
shore and back toward the beach when possible. Do not attempt to
swim directly against a rip current as you will tire quickly.
