PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters, southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of Mexico. .DAY ONE...Tonight. Thunderstorms: Isolated thunderstorms are possible into the evening hours, primarily near the East Coast metro and over Atlantic waters. A few storms may be strong to severe and would be capable of producing damaging winds, hail, frequent lightning, and heavy rain. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Heat indices of 103 to 107 degrees will be possible on Sunday, before finally beginning to drop to around 100 next week. Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible on Sunday, especially across the east coast metro. Large hail and damaging wind gusts will be the primary threats.
