...EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS EXPECTED TODAY AND
TONIGHT...

Bitterly cold temperatures have allowed snow to compact into ice
across many roadways in the area. Despite ample sunshine through
the day, temperatures are not expected to rise above freezing.
Snow and ice will continue to be a problem on roadways today and
tonight. Roads in direct sunlight today may experience some
melting, however expect this to refreeze fairly quickly after
sunset tonight. Widespread melting is not expected until Thursday
afternoon.

Travel today and tonight is not advised. If you must travel,
please exercise extreme caution. Slow down and allow extra time to
reach your destination.

...WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills expected. The cold wind chills
  will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed
  skin. Expect wind chills to range from 15 above zero to 5
  below zero.

* WHERE...Fannin, Gilmer, Union, Towns, Pickens, Dawson, Lumpkin,
  and White Counties.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM EST Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...From overnight snowfall, roads will remain
  icy and treacherous as temperatures remain below freezing all
  day. If you must drive, use extreme caution. The cold wind
  chills may cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed
  skin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will
combine to create low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can
occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North and Central Georgia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight...

Much of north and central Georgia will see light snow accumulations
today. Northwest winds will be increasing also today...producing
dangerous wind chills. Please refer to the latest Winter Weather
Advisory and Wind Chill Advisory products for more information.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday...

Showers will return to the forecast area late into the weekend and
into the first of the week. Otherwise...no hazardous weather is
expected at this time.
