The system that brought strong to severe thunderstorms and a few potential tornadoes to portions of north and central Georgia earlier today has moved south of the area. As a result, the severe weather threat has ended for the remainder of the evening. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday... Another round of thunderstorms is expected to impact portions of the area late tonight through Friday morning. At this time, widespread severe weather is not expected. After a dry weekend, another round of thunderstorms is possible early next week as a system moves into the area Monday and Tuesday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not requested but spotters are encouraged to submit reports of severe weather through the web by going to weather.gov/atlanta. Please relay any information about observed severe weather to the NWS. $$
