...PATCHY BLACK ICE WILL CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY MORNING
ACROSS EXTREME NORTH GEORGIA...

PATCHY BLACK ICE...MAINLY IN SHELTERED AREAS CONTINUES THIS
AFTERNOON ACROSS EXTREME NORTH GEORGIA AND WILL CONTINUE INTO
EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. SOME MELTING ON ROADS HAS OCCURRED WITH
TODAYS SUNSHINE...HOWEVER REFREEZING WILL OCCUR AFTER SUNSET
TONIGHT. THE MAIN AREA OF CONCERN IS GENERALLY NORTH OF A LINE
FROM ROME TO GAINESVILLE TO CLEVELAND. SECONDARY ROADS...BRIDGES
AND OVERPASSES WILL BE MOST PRONE TO SEEING BLACK ICE.

MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO USE EXTREME CAUTION THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY
MORNING.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR NORTH GEORGIA. A
WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR NORTHEAST GEORGIA.

SCATTERED LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS AND FLURRIES WILL TAPER OFF BY THE
AFTERNOON ACROSS NORTH GEORGIA. LITTLE...OR NO ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL
ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED. AREAS OF BLACK ICE ARE POSSIBLE WITHIN
THE ADVISORY AREA TODAY AS TEMPERATURES WILL STRUGGLE TO RISE
ABOVE FREEZING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY
MORNING. VERY COLD TEMPERATURES COMBINED WITH GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS
WILL PRODUCE WIND CHILL VALUES BETWEEN MINUS 5 AND PLUS 5 WEDNESDAY
NIGHT THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY MORNING.

ANY LINGERING MOISTURE ON THE ROADWAYS MAY LEAD TO THE FORMATION
OF BLACK ICE THURSDAY MORNING.

A VERY COLD ARCTIC AIRMASS WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION ON SATURDAY
AND SOME OF THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES OF THE WINTER SEASON ARE
EXPECTED ON SUNDAY ACROSS ALL OF NORTH GEORGIA. SOME WINTER
PRECIPITATION IS POSSIBLE ON MONDAY BUT IT IS STILL TOO EARLY TO
FORECAST WITH ANY CONFIDENCE ANY ACCUMULATIONS.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGH TONIGHT BUT SPOTTERS ARE
ENCOURAGED TO REPORT SNOW AND ROAD CONDITIONS TODAY AND TONIGHT.
