This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North and Central Georgia.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight...

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms across far north
Georgia later today into tonight with brief lightning the main
hazard. There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms across
far northwest Georgia late tonight. The main hazards will be
damaging winds or an isolated tornado.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday...

Isolated thunderstorms can be expected across the area Sunday into
Sunday night with occasional lightning the main hazard. There
is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms over portions of north
and west Georgia early Sunday with damaging winds or an isolated
tornado the main hazards. A period of heavy rain will be possible
late Sunday night and early Monday over portions of north and central
Georgia along with a slight chance of thunderstorms.

There will be a slight chance of thunderstorms across the area on
Thursday along with locally heavy rainfall possible Wednesday into
Thursday across mainly north georgia.


.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Due to the Isolated nature of any severe weather, spotter activation
is not expected through tonight. However, spotters are encouraged
to submit reports of any severe weather through the web by going to
weather.gov/atlanta.
