Showers and thunderstorms will move through the region this morning, resulting in widespread rainfall in central Georgia. A couple of storms could produce strong winds gusts or hail. Additional isolated thunderstorm activity could occur in east central Georgia this afternoon. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday... Thunderstorm chances will return to the region Tuesday and linger through at least Thursday. At this time the risk of severe weather on any given day remains low. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not requested but spotters are encouraged to submit reports of severe weather through the web by going to weather.gov/atlanta.
