...WIND ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 3 AM
EST SUNDAY...

* Locations...Much of North Georgia including the Atlanta metro.

* Winds...During the mid afternoon hours on Saturday, southwest
  winds will increase to 15 to 20 mph with higher gusts. During
  the evening hours Saturday northwest winds will spread across
  the area with wind speeds increasing to 20 to 25 mph with gusts
  of 35 mph.

* Timing...10 AM Saturday until 3 AM Sunday.

* Impacts...Strong winds will bring down large tree limbs and
  some weaker trees. Unsecured outdoor items may be blown around.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained wind speeds of at least
20 mph...or gusts to 35 mph or stronger are expected. Winds this
strong can make driving difficult...especially for high profile
vehicles. Use extra caution.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North and Central Georgia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight...

...Wind Advisory In Effect For North and Most of Central
Georgia...

A strong cold front will cross the area later this evening into
tonight. Ahead of the front, showers and a few thunderstorms are
possible in north Georgia this afternoon and evening. In addition,
gusty southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph, will develop late this
morning for far North Georgia and late this afternoon into the
evening for the remainder of the advisory area. Gusty winds will
continue tonight with localized gusts up to 35 mph or greater
possible, especially in the higher elevations of north Georgia. A
Wind Advisory has been issued accordingly.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday...

Much colder air will filter in behind the front and a Freeze Watch
or Warning may be needed for Sunday night into Monday morning.

Otherwise, no other hazardous weather is expected.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.

...HIGH FIRE DANGER CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING
FOR PARTS OF NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA DUE TO STRONG WINDS...

Sustained winds of 20 to 25 MPH can be expected along with gusts
of 30 MPH. Gusts may reach as high as 40 mph in the mountains. Relative
Humidities will remain high at 50 to 60 percent.

With dry fuels, high fire danger conditions can be expected.

Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities
concerning whether your may burn outdoors.  If you do burn
outside, use extreme caution.
