A WIND CHILL ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR THE AREA. PLEASE REFER TO

GUSTY WINDS ARE EXPECTED TODAY BEHIND A COLD FRONT DROPPING
THROUGH THE STATE. THIS MAY PRODUCE SOME BLOWING SNOW AND
VISIBILITY RESTRICTIONS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

MODERATE SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED SATURDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DES MOINES HAS ISSUED A WIND
CHILL ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO
8 AM CST SATURDAY.

* TIMING...THIS EVENING INTO SATURDAY MORNING

* WINDS...NORTHWESTERLY AT 5 TO 15 MPH

* TEMPERATURES/WIND CHILL VALUES...WIND CHILL VALUES WILL DROP
  INTO THE 20 BELOW TO 30 BELOW RANGE...DUE TO THE WINDS COMBINED
  WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE SINGLE DIGITS AND TEENS BELOW ZERO.

* IMPACTS...THOSE WITH INTERESTS OUTDOORS SHOULD DRESS WARMLY AND
  COVER EXPOSED SKIN...AS FROSTBITE AND HYPOTHERMIA ARE POSSIBLE
  IF THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN
FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.
IF YOU MUST VENTURE OUTDOORS...MAKE SURE YOU WEAR A HAT AND
GLOVES.
