.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF EASTERN IOWA AND
NORTHWEST ILLINOIS TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING. WIND CHILLS OF
20 TO 25 BELOW ZERO CAN BE EXPECTED ALONG AND NORTH OF HIGHWAY 30.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

BITTERLY COLD WIND CHILLS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MID MORNING
SATURDAY. SNOW CHANCES WILL SPREAD BACK OVER THE ENTIRE OUTLOOK
AREA SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY...WITH SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW
POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA. AT THIS TIME...THE HIGHER ACCUMULATIONS APPEAR
MOST LIKELY NORTH OF AN OTTUMWA TO GALESBURG LINE WHERE 3 OR MORE
INCHES IS POSSIBLE.

.A VERY COLD ARCTIC AIRMASS WILL PUSH SOUTHWARD INTO PORTIONS OF
EASTERN IOWA AND NORTHWEST ILLINOIS...TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING.
LOCATIONS ALONG AND NORTH OF HIGHWAY 30 WILL EXPERIENCE THE COLDEST
TEMPERATURES. THE COMBINATION OF THE COLD AIR AND NORTHWEST WINDS
OF 10 TO 15 MPH WILL CREATE WIND CHILLS OF 20 TO 25 BELOW ZERO.

CHILL ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO
9 AM CST SATURDAY.

* TIMING...LATER THIS EVENING THROUGH MID MORNING ON SATURDAY.

* WIND CHILL...20 TO 25 BELOW ZERO.

* WIND...NORTHWEST 10 TO 15 MPH.

* TEMPERATURES...5 TO 10 BELOW ZERO.

* IMPACTS...FROSTBITE AND HYPOTHERMIA ARE POSSIBLE IF PRECAUTIONS
  ARE NOT TAKEN. THE COLD WIND CHILLS WILL CAUSE FROSTBITE IN AS
  LITTLE AS 30 MINUTES TO EXPOSED SKIN.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS...RESULTING IN FROSTBITE
AND HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN. IF YOU MUST VENTURE
OUTDOORS...DRESS IN LAYERS COVERING EXPOSED SKIN. FROSTBITE WILL
OCCUR IN AS FEW AS 30 MINUTES IN THESE CONDITIONS.
